This is an open letter to political party leaders urging them to prioritise the recovery and enhancement of our ocean during this year's election period.

It calls for immediate investment in the ocean alongside action to combat pollution, and urge political leaders to help save one of the world’s most precious resources by publicly backing the Manifesto for our Seas.

Will you help us remind political leaders why our ocean is so important and what needs to be done to protect it?

"Without action, we will face catastrophic consequences if the ocean’s demise continues. But it doesn't have to be that way."

Blue Marine Foundation

A healthy ocean is critical in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss, as well as supporting lives and livelihoods in coastal communities. Blue Marine Foundation works with decision makers, researchers and local communities to take holistic action. They forge partnerships to ensure the oceans will survive and thrive, combining legal advocacy with integrated conservation and restoration programmes in the UK and around the world.

Come and help us process native oysters to be reintroduced into the Dornoch Firth.
