Sea Change Row brings together an ocean rowing team and research initiatives during the GB Row Endurance challenge. The project focuses on marine data collection while navigating the challenge, gathering oceanographic information to support ocean recovery and conservation efforts.
Scientific Data Collection
The crew collects environmental data throughout the row, focusing on key indicators of marine health. Research activities include gathering data on microplastics, measuring ocean temperature and salinity, sampling environmental DNA (eDNA), and recording underwater noise pollution. These measurements contribute to scientific understanding of current ocean conditions.
